Sitters By The Shore provides trusted, loving, and reliable pet care services on St. Simons Island. We match each family with a sitter who understands the needs of their specific breed, ensuring your pets receive attentive, personalized care while you are away.
What Our Pet Sitters Provide
Our sitters care for your pets as if they were their own. Each visit can include:
- Feeding and fresh water
- Outdoor exercise or indoor play
- Litter box scooping
- Administering medications
- Cleaning up any pet-related messes
- Offering companionship, affection, and plenty of attention
If you request it, pet sitting may also include light house-sitting tasks such as watering plants, adjusting lights or drapes, bringing in mail, and taking out the garbage on trash day.
Overnight Pet Sitting
For families who need extended support, our overnight sitters stay in your home and care for your pets throughout the night. We charge a flat fee for this service, and rates depend on the number and size of your pets as well as the level of care required. The minimum overnight rate is $100 per night.
How to Get Started
To begin, simply complete our Client Application. Once we receive it, we will contact you to review your information, answer questions, and learn more about your pet’s needs.
After that, we will select the sitter who best matches your pet’s temperament and care requirements. Then we confirm availability and contact you to finalize the scheduling.
Before the first assignment, your sitter will meet with you in person. At that meeting, please have the Pet Information Form and the Veterinary Instructions and Release Form completed. These forms help our sitters prepare and ensure your pet receives the best possible care.
Sitter payments are made directly to the sitter by cash or Venmo.
Pet Care Rates
Annual Registration Fee
A $50 annual registration fee is required to use our pet sitting services. It remains valid for an entire year. This fee supports the detailed screening and scheduling process that helps us match your pet with the most suitable sitter.
Dog Sitting Rates
- $30 per hour for one dog
• $25 is paid directly to the sitter
• $5 is the service fee billed to your card - For additional pets: $5 more per hour, per pet, paid directly to the sitter
- There is a three-hour minimum for all dog-sitting bookings.
Overnight Pet Sitting
Rates vary depending on:
- Number of pets
- Size of pets
- The amount of care required
The minimum overnight rate is $100 per night.
Holiday Rates
Holiday pet-sitting rates are double the regular daily fee.
Holidays include:
New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
