Service Fees
NOTE: ALL registered families must have a credit card or Venmo on file prior to their first scheduling.
Annual Registration Fee:
A registration fee of $50 is required for our sitting services. This fee is good for an entire year and can be used by anyone in your family. The registration fee covers the cost of conducting and maintaining the screening and interviewing process of the sitters. The process includes background checks and verification of credential certification. Our service insures the most suitable sitter is selected for your family through review of the sitter’s application and interview process.
Sitter’s Fees
One child: $20 an hour to the sitter and a $5 per hour fee on the credit card we have on file.
Two children: $25 an hour to the sitter and a $5 per hour fee on the credit card we have on file.
Three children: $30 an hour to the sitter and a $5 per hour fee on the credit card we have on file.
Four children: $35 an hour to the sitter and a $5 per hour fee on the credit card we have on file. If the family requests two sitters, the fee per sitter per hour would be $25 and a $5 per hour fee on the credit card we have on file.
Five or more children: We strongly recommend using two sitters. If BOTH Sitters By The Shore and the parents agree that a safe and manageable environment can be provided with only one sitter, the rate will be determined by the number of children as outlined above with an additional $5 per hour fee on the credit card we have on file.
Families are responsible for paying sitters their hourly rate directly, upon completion of the sitting job. Sitter’s fees are paid by cash or Venmo. Be advised that there is a three-hour minimum for all sitting jobs. Families do not have to use the full three hours, but the sitters will still charge for three hours of pay.
Overnight Scheduling: The overnight fee is $100 for 1-3 children and $150 for 4-6. For more children than 6, the fee will be negotiated. The overnight fee begins when all children are asleep. Regular hourly fees will begin again when the first child is awake.
Holidays:
The rates for the following holidays will be double the regular hourly rate with an additional $10 per hour fee added to the credit card we have on file:
New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Mother’s Day / Father’s Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
Cancellation Fee: There is a cancellation fee of $50 for less than a 24 hour notice. If the cancelled job is on a holiday, the cancellation fee is $100.
