Our goal is to assist families in finding a quality caregiver to support the changing needs of elders and their families. Whether you need a sitter for a few hours or a few days, Sitters by the Shore can provide the services your loved one requires and you will have the peace of mind you deserve. Our sitters are CPR and First Aid Certified and have gone through a rigorous screening process including phone and personal interviews, as well as reference and extensive background checks.
After we receive your completed application we will contact you to discuss the application and answer any questions you may have. A sitter will be selected that best meets your needs and availability confirmed. We will contact you once we have filled your request.
Sitter’s fees are paid by cash or Venmo directly to the sitter.
Elder Care Rates
Annual Registration Fee:
An annual registration fee of $50 is required for our sitting services. This fee is good for an entire year should you need to use our service again. After your initial scheduling, there will only be a $15 fee for placement during that year. This covers the cost of conducting and maintaining the screening and interviewing process of the sitters. The process includes background checks and verification of credential certification. Our service ensures the most suitable sitter is selected for your family through a review of the sitter’s application and interviews. The rate is $25 per hour for the sitter and $5 per hour will be placed on the credit card we have on file.
Holiday Rates:
The rates for the following holidays will be double the regular hourly rate with an additional $10 per hour fee added to the credit card we have on file:
New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Mother’s Day / Father’s Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
Cancellation Fee: There is a cancellation fee of $50 for less than a 24 hour notice. If the cancelled job is on a holiday, the cancellation fee is $100. If you have a package and you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, it will count as a used scheduled appointment.
Overnight Scheduling:
Sitters by the Shore will also provide sitters for overnight stays. The rate will be the standard $25 an hour with $5 per hour being placed on the credit card we have on file.
